Constitutional Tax Collector Budget

The Constitutional Tax Collector’s Office is a commission and fee based office.  That means our operations are not funded by tax dollars.  We operate on funds collected for the services we provide.

The Florida Department of Revenue approves and monitors our budget and provides fiscal oversight.  This means our Constitutional Office is separate from those governmental entities which levy taxes in Levy County.

All budget savings, either through cost reductions or increased efficiencies, are redistributed to each taxing district relative to the amount collected on their behalf.

Current year tax payments are normally due March 31st. However the 2023 tax year’s taxes have been extended until April 1st this year due to the holiday.  Payments can be made in one of our three locations. There is a drop box out side of the complex in Bronson next to our mail box or you can pay online www.levytax.org

This extension does not apply to delinquent tax years.  These should be paid either in the office or online before March 28th.  If the payment is not received by this date you will be charged the April price.
